Travelex, the well-known foreign exchange company, is making significant strides in its global expansion efforts. With international travel bouncing back and demand soaring, Travelex is launching over 75 bureaux, kiosks, and ATMs across Europe, Asia Pacific, South America, and the Middle East. This move aims to enhance customer convenience and accessibility, bringing their services closer to travelers worldwide.

Expanding Presence in Europe

Travelex has been busy expanding its operations in Europe. In Germany, the company celebrated its 30th anniversary and extended contracts for bureaux at Hamburg Airport. They also introduced ATMs across major airports like Berlin Brandenburg, Frankfurt, and Zurich. Moreover, Travelex refreshed its bureaux in certain locations across the UK and installed impressive three-meter LED walls at Heathrow Airport Terminals 3 and 5.

Middle East Expansion

Travelex's investments in the Middle East have been remarkable. They launched several bureaux and On-The-Move kiosks in airports across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, as well as the Mina Rashid seaport in the UAE. Refurbishments and expansions were also carried out at Sharjah International Airport. Travelex is further set to introduce a dozen ATMs in strategic locations such as the Dubai Harbour Cruise Terminal and the new Abu Dhabi International Airport Terminal A.

In Oman, Travelex opened a pre-immigration store at Muscat International Airport. Celebrating its 20th anniversary in the country, this milestone represents Travelex's commitment to deliver exceptional services to customers.

Strengthening Presence in Asia and Australia

Travelex's presence in Asia has been growing steadily. With two new stores at Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 2, they now operate a total of ten retail stores in Malaysia. Additionally, they have plans to launch two more stores at Shanghai Pudong Airport Terminal 1 in the near future.

In Japan, Travelex introduced its prepaid foreign currency card, the Travelex Money Card, coinciding with its 20th anniversary in the country. The company has also made significant strides in Australia and New Zealand, opening six and three stores respectively. By partnering with the Bank of New Zealand, Travelex now offers discounted travel money access to 1.2 million customers.

Expanding Operations in Brazil

Travelex's investment in Brazil continues to surge, with the recent launch of seven stores nationwide, including prominent cities like Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. As a result, their network in Brazil now spans over 125 stores, with plans for further expansion in the upcoming months.

Travelex's recent announcement of a £90 million (US$113.4 million) refinancing package demonstrates their dedication to enhancing their retail offering, building wholesale relationships, and investing in digital transformation and product innovation.
