Filming for Wolf took place in 2022 across various parts of south Wales, including the captivating Monmouthshire, which serves as the backdrop for a significant portion of the series. Additionally, the production team utilized the Enfys studios in Cardiff to bring the story to life.

Visiting the set, Dawn Bowden, the deputy minister for arts and sport in Wales, expressed her excitement, stating, "I'm delighted to get a sneak peek at this production in progress. It really is a production rooted in Wales, making the most of our fabulous Welsh landscapes - and, of course, Welsh talent and crew."

Welsh Landscapes and Talent

The cast members also shared their thoughts on filming in Wales. Iwan Rheon, portraying Molina, expressed his joy at returning to his Welsh roots. Growing up in Wales, he cherishes the opportunity to work in his home country. He praised the diverse landscapes of Wales, noting that they can effortlessly transform to suit various settings. "Wales is just as good as anywhere to film," he affirmed.

Owen Teale, who plays Oliver Anchor-Ferrers, was equally enthusiastic about the filming experience. Having grown up nearby, the opportunity to film in his hometown was a remarkable and nostalgic moment for him. He marveled at the Anchor-Ferrers house, a hidden Georgian beauty that he had never known existed. Teale added, "Wales has got everything you need. It's naturally got the mountains and the wonderful coastline, some of those locations could look like California or some of the beaches in Australia."

The Setting of Wolf

While primarily set in Wales, Wolf also features scenes set in London, where Jack Caffery (played by Ukweli Roach) finds himself after working in Cardiff and Newport. As for the Anchor-Ferrers house, its location is intentionally left unspecified, adding to the air of mystery surrounding the story.

Wolf, the captivating series set amidst the enchanting landscapes of Wales, is available to stream in full on BBC iPlayer. Prepare for a thrilling journey filled with suspense, unforgettable characters, and stunning scenery.
