ENA's "The Kidnapping Day" has just unveiled stills from its forthcoming fifth episode! This black comedy, based on a novel of the same name, delves into the unusual alliance between a bumbling kidnapper and a brilliant 11-year-old girl. Yoon Kye Sang portrays Kim Myung Joon, a first-time kidnapper who resorts to abducting a young girl to secure funds for his daughter's hospital bills. Yoo Na, known for her role in "Pachinko," stars as the genius girl Choi Ro Hee, who possesses a cynical and exceptional mind despite her tender age. Together, they form an unexpected bond in the midst of chaos and uncertainty.

Spoilers Alert!

In the previous episode, Kim Myung Joon's ex-wife, Seo Hye Eun (played by Kim Shin Rok), stunned viewers by revealing her HIV diagnosis and confessing her true motivation for targeting Choi Ro Hee for kidnapping. Additionally, it was discovered that Ro Hee's father, Choi Jin Tae (portrayed by Jeon Kwang Jin), was utilizing his daughter as a test subject for his "genius child project," which aimed to secure funding.

The conflict between Kim Myung Joon, who yearns to turn himself in for the kidnapping, and Choi Ro Hee, who desires to avenge her parents' murder independently, intensifies. In a heart-wrenching moment, Kim Myung Joon promises Ro Hee that he will protect her unconditionally. Unexpectedly, Kim Myung Joon finds himself facing off against a mysterious individual attempting to abduct Ro Hee. Although he manages to rescue her, both fall unconscious, heightening the suspense.

In the newly released stills, Kim Myung Joon and Choi Ro Hee seem to have regained consciousness. However, they now find themselves in an entirely different space, enclosed by a glass wall. Kim Myung Joon taps his hand on the glass wall, visibly concerned, as he observes Ro Hee hooked up to an EEG machine. On the other hand, Doctor Mo Eun Sun (played by Seo Jae Hee), the head of the neurosurgery department, can be seen smiling with satisfaction.

Viewers are left wondering whether the "genius child project" alluded to by Seo Hye Eun will continue, even after Choi Jin Tae's demise. Moreover, there is curiosity surrounding the potential consequences of Choi Ro Hee's encounter with Doctor Mo Eun Sun on her ability to regain her lost memories.
